Myu Htoi Awng's musical journey began with playing gospel music on the guitar at his church. He became a student at Gitameit Music School in 2009, where his passion for music deepened. In 2010, he participated in a jazz workshop hosted by Dutch trumpeter Marco Blaauw and German double bassist Tim Isfort, which significantly broadened his approach to music.

In 2011, Myu Htoi Awng attended the "April Summer Programme" at Rangsit University in Thailand, organized by the American Embassy. During these years, he primarily focused on rock and fusion guitar, but his interest in jazz grew stronger in 2012 when he attended a jazz workshop led by Goesta Muller from Austria.

Since then, Myu Htoi Awng has been dedicated to his journey in jazz, while also exploring and playing various other genres such as gospel, funk, soul, and rock. His vision as a jazz musician is to inspire others, share inspirations, and create colorful, harmonious works that reflect the culture they are cultivating.
