Who are we?

MJC (Myanmar Jazz Club) is a non-profit organisation for Jazz in Yangon and around Myanmar. Utilising the wealth of talent found in Myanmar, MJC was established in 2020 as an organisation that endeavours to expand the collective creativity of artists in the region.

What do we do?

  • Jazz Workshops

    Our mission is to nurture the future generations of jazz musicians in the country

  • Concerts

    We create a platform for musicians to express the music trough concerts and events

  • Production

    We record and produce the artist in the country so that their music can be enjoyed by a larger global audience.

  • Training Programmes

    Developing the talent and skills of the artist scene in the country has been our mission from the start. Here at MJC, we provide training programmes by both local and internationa guest artists for students to larn from a wide array of perpectives.

  • Scholarship Programmes

    Our scholarship programme aims to help underprivileged students get a music education.

  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaborations

    At MJC, we believe in the power of collaborations and aim to innovate and forge partnerships with diverse projects and events.

Through workshops, concerts, competitions and general dissemination of jazz activities in Yangon, MJC has been able to bring about the best talent that Myanmar has to offer and foster the right environment for art and music to flourish into the future.
