Myanmar-born Ja Seng Bu (Elizabeth), student at Fashion Design and Technology IFA Paris and winner of the 2023 Young Sustainable Designer Award, is a key contributor to RBB. For this project, Elizabeth explores the rare, labor-intensive lotus silk harvested from Myanmar's Inle Lake. This endangered textile craft holds deep significance in the project, as the lotus symbolically embodies themes of resilience, purification, and healing in many cultures around the world. Her designs for the four unique garments incorporate traditional Burmese craftsmanship through hand embroidery, petal-inspired construction, and accessories with silver and lacquerware elements, creating pieces that represent each of the 4-Realms worn by RBB performers.
